FOUNDER
Biography - Steven Kline, Founder
Steven Kline, the founder of Pixel Analysis, began his professional journey in video production and 3D animation after earning his architecture degree from the Pratt Institute in 1994. His architectural training (BArch) combined with deep expertise in video encoding, streaming media, and multimedia development laid a solid technical foundation for his eventual specialization in digital media forensics.
Over time, Steven’s architecture background also informed his work in developing distance-learning platforms for continuing education of Architects & Structural Engineers, and producing 3D modeling and visualizations for developers. These experiences have become invaluable in his forensic work—especially in areas like 3D laser scanning and Photogrammetry—where precision and spatial understanding are critical in cases involving land disputes and utility or property litigation.
Steven’s transition into digital media forensics began when local police asked for help extracting and analyzing video evidence from robbery cases. As video became more ubiquitous in investigations and trials, his role expanded to include collaborations with additional police departments and the Connecticut State’s Attorney’s Office.
In 2018, Steven became LEVA-certified, enhancing his expertise and courtroom readiness. Combined with growing demand for forensic services, this culminated in the creation of Pixel Analysis in 2020.
Since then, Pixel Analysis has served clients across more than 25 jurisdictions, and Steven has provided trial or deposition testimony in over 8 jurisdictions. Though Pixel Analysis is proud of its work with law enforcement, over the past several years they have increased its support of difficult to find expert services for Private and Public Defense Lawyers.
Steven’s notable casework includes: Connecticut’s last death penalty case (CT v. Roszkowski, later commuted to life); federal cases across Connecticut, Illinois, and Washington, DC - including a January 6th Case; Innocence Project matters in Puerto Rico, New Hampshire, West Virginia, and Indiana; and several multi-million dollar civil proceedings. These cases offer a balanced workload among prosecutors, plaintiffs, and defense attorneys.
